Don't Just Quit Porn.
Become Whole.
A five-month, gospel-centered journey to sexual wholeness, held inside a mentorship community that helps you become theologically anchored, emotionally healthy, and free to love the people around you well.
First, I want you to know something.
Porn is like an old friend. I myself have gone through seasons where I felt genuinely free from even temptation itself. I had written a book about it and was helping other men find their way out.
But eventually, you go through new seasons of life that can recreate the environment, or a similar environment, that got you into porn in the first place, and you realize the old friend is coming back and offering friendship again.
So I'm not here as someone who's standing on a mountain, removed from the everyday life of others in the battle. Rather, I am here as one of you, who has to continue the ongoing work of emotional wholeness, so that we can continually pursue Jesus and health and intimacy with those around us instead of the false friendship of pornography.
Do you find yourself somewhere in the cycle of freedom and struggle? Know that you are not alone, and you are not too far gone.
If willpower were enough, you'd be free by now.
You've tried to stop. More than once.
You promised never again. You deleted the apps. You confessed to someone. You memorized the verses.
And still, when you're tired or lonely or ashamed, you find yourself right back where you swore you'd never go.
Maybe you get a knot in your stomach every time it comes up in church. Maybe you can't quite look certain people in the eye. Maybe you've started to wonder if change is even possible for you.
Underneath all of it, the real question isn't "How do I stop watching porn?"
It's quieter than that. It's "Is there any real hope for someone like me?"
The good news is that there is. Just not where you've been taught to look for it.
Most approaches stop at behavior.
Bounce your eyes. Join an accountability group. Read your Bible more.
Sometimes those things help. But they rarely touch what's actually driving the struggle:
- the shame you carry around like a second skin
- the stories and wounds that shaped what you reach for
- and the parts of you that learned, a long time ago, to protect yourself instead of trust God
Porn is rarely just lust. More often it's a way of managing pain that your heart found back when it didn't have anything better.
If the root goes deeper than willpower, then willpower was never going to be enough.
A journey that goes after the root.
It's a ten-lesson, gospel-centered journey that helps you:
- understand the story underneath your sexual struggles
- notice the parts of you that run to porn to escape, and what they're really after
- and bring those places to Jesus for actual healing, not just better behavior management
It's built on honesty, connection, and the gospel. Not shame. Not quick fixes.
But I didn't want this to be one more course you start and never finish. So I built something more around it.
The mentorship is five months of not walking alone.

"How Eroticism Can Heal Your Soul"
A guide to redeeming unwanted sexual expression.
And because healing happens in relationship:
- Monthly group mentorship calls. Teaching plus live support, where together we build a plan for your ongoing growth.
- One-on-one email support from me along the way, for your questions, your setbacks, and the days you need encouragement.
- A full year in the Formation Circle of Unfeigned Christianity, to keep growing theologically, emotionally, and missionally.
The course on its own is $200. The calls, the year in Formation Circle, and my support are worth a good deal more. Your cost for all of it:
If at any point it isn't worth it to you, just ask and I'll refund you. No questions, no hard feelings.
A new webinar, just for the first five.
Be one of the first five people to join on an annual membership, and I'll give you free access to a brand-new webinar:
7 Critical Lessons I've Learned About Sexual Wholeness Since Publishing Live Free
It's the raw version of what the book couldn't know yet. Seven things the years since have taught me about sexual wholeness in new seasons of life and how to keep walking free when the old friend comes knocking again.
Once the first five annual spots are taken, this bonus closes.
This is for you if…
- You love Jesus, and you still feel stuck in cycles of porn, fantasy, or unwanted sexual behavior.
- You've tried the filters and the accountability groups, and you're still not where you'd hoped you'd be.
- You want more than behavior management. You want your heart and mind made new.
- You want a safe, grace-filled place to be honest and grow alongside others who get it.
- You care about more than just stopping. You want to become someone who's anchored, healthy, and able to love and disciple the people around you.
How it works

Walk the five-month journey
Move through the course at about two lessons a month, with room to reflect, journal, and practice what you're learning.
Process together, and keep growing
Each month we gather for a live call. I teach into a key theme, you share where you're at as you're comfortable, and we encourage and pray for one another. Between calls, my inbox is open to you.
What you'll learn
Why porn is usually more about pain and self-protection than "just lust."
How your story, your family, and your earliest attachments shaped what you desire.
Why your brain keeps returning to old ruts, and why that is not the end of the story.
How to recognize the different parts of you. The part that hurts, the part that manages, the part that scrambles to put out fires. And how to bring each one to Jesus.
How to move out of shame and hiding into confession, connection, and being truly known.
How to build a long-term plan for wholeness that rests on the gospel, not on your performance.
What others are saying

Though often seen by many of us as curse rather than gift, as shackles rather than wings, Asher helps us see the blessing and freedom of finding victory in God's design.

I wish I would have had this kind of honesty from someone when I was young. Asher's work has the potential of empowering a lot of young men.

The freedom you will experience from taking these truths to heart yourself will be all the evidence you need to convince others of Christ.
Not ready for the mentorship yet?
You can still get the full Live Free Course, all ten sessions, resources, and guides, for a one-time $200, and go at your own pace.
You'll miss the live calls, the email support, and the year in Formation Circle. But if you're more of a do-it-yourself learner, it's a solid place to begin.
A few candid questions
The course was first built with men in mind, but the principles apply broadly to anyone wrestling with porn or unwanted sexual behavior. The environment is grace-filled and honest, and we'll always communicate clearly about who each specific cohort is for.
No. This is not a magic pill. It's a structured, gospel-centered process that helps you understand your story, your brain, and your heart, and then invites Jesus and community into the very places porn has been medicating.
Yes. If you still care, if you still feel the tension, it means your heart is alive. This journey was built with relapse, shame, and exhaustion in mind. We're not after a flawless record. We're after connection, honesty, and real movement toward wholeness.
The teaching is recorded, so you can watch later. You'll still be able to email me, use the resources, and keep moving at a sustainable pace.

About Asher Witmer
I live in Central Colorado with my wife, Teresa, and our six kids, where we serve with our church, Skyline Mennonite. I'm also working toward a degree in Advanced Biblical and Cultural Exegesis at Eternity Bible College.
Through Unfeigned Christianity, I make resources that help Christians become theologically anchored and emotionally healthy, so they can love others well. I wrote Live Free: Making Sense of Male Sexuality out of my own long road with this struggle, because I needed the kind of honesty I couldn't find anywhere else. Reader reviews of the book
Asher doesn't push formulas for success. He gets to the root of the why. He shares personal stories of times he's failed, stories that show his thought process and are relatable to me. They helped me not feel alone in my struggle. This book brings hope to people who may have given up on ever finding freedom.
I enjoyed reading this because it's written from a very honest, down to earth place. Not some lofty pie in the sky. I highly recommend it.
